The Client Brief

Helen Wells needed a photoshoot that conveyed two sides of her brand: her approachable and personable nature, and her professional excellence. To accomplish this, we planned a split-location shoot:

Personal Branding: The first part of the shoot at  Normanton Church, Rutland Water, featured Helen with her husband and dog, showcasing a relaxed, personal side of her life, She loves to spend time outdoors and wanted to show that wherever she is, she can still support her clients.

Business Branding: The second part took place at Rutland Hotel, focusing on Helen’s professional identity and her role as the face of HRH Business Services Ltd.

HRH Business Services

What can I say? Nate was a pleasure to work with from the first contact to discuss my photoshoot ideas for a website and company re-brand. He totally got the brief and got on board with my random ideas (also my love of coffee which is always a winner in my book!). I even think he was more excited than me at times which was absolutely fantastic! We chatted about all of the options and came up with a day at Rutland Hall Hotel and Normanton Church...which if you need a stunning backdrop, this is it. The weather was kind to us and Nate made us all (had to rope in the OH and the dog!) so relaxed. Nate's passion for photography, his creativity and skills have resulted in a gallery full of amazing photographs. Thank you so much. Your company ethos to bring "A Smile A Day" certainly did just that......

The Creative Approach

This shoot was designed as two chapters of the same story. We planned a split location session so the images could show Helen’s life and personality, alongside the professional side that clients rely on.

At Normanton Church and Rutland Water, I worked in a documentary style with gentle direction, keeping it relaxed and natural so the images felt genuine and unforced. The aim was to capture connection, warmth, and the outdoorsy side of Helen’s life, while still keeping the photographs purposeful and brand led.

At Rutland Hotel, the approach shifted to more structured personal branding. We focused on clean portraits and confident, professional imagery that communicates trust and expertise, while still keeping Helen’s friendly character at the centre. Throughout both parts, the goal was consistency so the final gallery felt like one complete brand, not two separate shoots.

A Personal Note from Nate

Because the strongest personal brands show who you are and why people can trust you.

Two sides of the same story

Helen’s brief was not about choosing personal or professional. It was about showing both in a way that feels honest and connected, so the brand reflects the whole person behind the business.

Trust is everything in professional services

When you work in finance and business support, your images need to feel calm, capable and clear. The goal here was professional confidence without losing warmth.

Images built for real world marketing

A brand shoot should make day to day content easier. This gallery was created to be flexible across platforms, giving Helen a bank of on brand images she can use again and again.
