About The Client

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority brought together partners including Allia and The FSE Group to launch two major funding programmes for the region. The Business Growth Investment Fund and the Social Impact Investment Fund were created to back local ambition by supporting business growth, innovation and wider community benefit.

Together, the funds represent nearly £9.5 million of investment. They are aimed at helping small and medium sized businesses access meaningful finance and support, while also giving third sector and social enterprise organisations a route to funding that protects jobs and strengthens communities.

The Creative Approach

This was a fast moving launch event with a clear priority list, so I worked with a structured plan and a documentary mindset. I focused on capturing every essential element in a short window: formalities, speaker moments, audience reactions, partner branding, and the networking that followed.

In a venue like this, the balance is always clarity and atmosphere. During speeches, I prioritised clean angles, strong expressions and readable backgrounds that included the event branding. Between programme moments, I moved quietly through the room to capture natural interactions, keeping the tone professional and respectful while still showing warmth and energy.

A Personal Note from Nate

Because the right photographs help a launch build trust, not just attention.

People connect with people

Funding announcements can feel abstract until you show the faces behind them. Photographing the speakers and partners well helps audiences understand who is leading the work and why it matters.

Momentum matters as much as the speeches

Some of the most valuable moments happen off stage, when the conversations start. Those images show confidence, collaboration and real engagement from the organisations the funds are there to support.

Useful images need a complete story

A strong event gallery is not one hero shot. It is a clear beginning, middle and end, with wide context, key moments, and detail images that teams can reuse across press, social and ongoing updates.
