About The Client

CSR Group is a recruitment agency based in Peterborough, working across a range of industries to connect employers with the right talent. With the team growing, they wanted their visual identity to feel current, consistent and professional across their website, LinkedIn and wider marketing.

A key part of the brief was adding a more human touch through a second portrait style called Magic Mirror, pairing a polished headshot with a more relaxed image that shows each person’s personality.

What The Photoshoot Achieved

A consistent headshot set for the whole team

Photographed formal headshots for all 34 staff members and senior management with consistent lighting and framing, so the team looks unified wherever the images are used.

Personality led portraits with Magic Mirror

Created an additional set of casual portraits for every person, giving CSR Group a more approachable, modern look that still feels professional.

Authentic workplace branding imagery

Captured the office environment and real team dynamics, adding context and warmth to the brand beyond headshots alone.

A ready to use library for multiple platforms

Delivered a flexible set of images designed for LinkedIn, the website and marketing materials, making it easier for the team to present a consistent brand across channels.

The Client Brief

CSR Group required high-quality, professional headshots that would be used across various platforms including their website, LinkedIn profiles, and marketing materials. Additionally, they wanted to incorporate a unique element to their photoshoot called “Magic Mirror,” where each person would take a serious headshot followed by a casual one to showcase their personality.

The Creative Approach

This was planned as an efficient on site shoot that could photograph a large team without disrupting the working day. I set up a clean, consistent headshot station for the formal portraits, keeping the lighting and camera position fixed so every person matched. That consistency is what makes the final set feel professional and cohesive.

Once each person had their formal headshot, we moved straight into the Magic Mirror portraits. The direction here was lighter and more relaxed, encouraging natural expressions while still keeping the images polished enough for professional use.

Alongside portraits, I photographed branding images around the office, focusing on real interaction, collaboration and atmosphere. The aim was to give CSR Group a complete visual toolkit that feels both corporate and human.

A Personal Note from Nate

Great team photography should make people feel confident, and make your brand feel trustworthy.

Consistency builds credibility

When a whole team has matching, well lit headshots, the business instantly looks more established and more professional online.

Personality matters in recruitment

Recruitment is people first. The Magic Mirror portraits added approachability and helped the team feel like real people, not just job titles.

Efficiency is part of the service

With 34 people to photograph, the process has to run smoothly. A clear setup, calm direction and a simple flow kept the day productive and the results consistent.
