Your cause deserves more than stock photography. I work with charities, nonprofits and community organisations across Peterborough, Cambridge and the East Midlands to create photography that tells the real story of your work. Whether you need images for a fundraising campaign, your annual report, a new website or your next gala dinner, I bring the same approach every time. Understand what you are trying to achieve, photograph the people and the moments that bring it to life, and deliver images that make supporters feel something. I have photographed charity balls for the NSPCC and Sue Ryder, documentary projects for community organisations like Cross Keys Homes and team portraits for local and national third sector groups. I understand that budgets are tight, timelines are short and the images need to work hard across multiple channels.

I was invited to photograph the NSPCC’s black tie charity gala, covering the full evening from arrivals and table settings through to speeches, live entertainment and the auction. The brief was clear: capture the energy of the room, the key moments for sponsors and supporters, and deliver images that could be used immediately for social media and follow-up communications. Working discreetly around a busy room of guests, I delivered a set of edited highlights within 48 hours and a full gallery shortly after. The images were used across the NSPCC’s social channels, sponsor communications and future event promotion.

We have a small budget. Can we still work together?
Yes. I work with charities at every scale and I understand that budgets are tight. I can scope a shoot to fit what you have available, whether that is a half day covering headshots and a few environmental shots or a full campaign shoot across multiple locations. The key is being clear about what you need the images to do, and I will help you get the most value from the time we have.
Can you photograph our fundraising event or gala?
Absolutely. I have covered charity balls, awards evenings and fundraising dinners for organisations including the NSPCC and PECT. I work discreetly, capture the energy and the key moments, and deliver edited images quickly so your communications team can use them for social media, press releases and sponsor follow-ups.
How do you handle photography involving vulnerable people or service users?
With care and proper planning. Before any shoot involving beneficiaries, service users or vulnerable adults, we agree a clear consent process with your safeguarding lead. Where consent is not possible or appropriate, I use careful framing and environmental photography to tell your story without identifying individuals. I have experience working in sensitive settings including care environments and community outreach projects.
What if our team and volunteers hate having their photo taken?
Most do, and I am very used to it. Charity teams are usually brilliant at what they do and awkward in front of a camera. I keep direction relaxed, sessions short and the atmosphere light. People are always surprised by how painless it is. The reviews from organisations like Fortava Healthcare and PECT mention this specifically.
Can we use the images in grant applications and annual reports?
Yes. Every shoot includes a standard commercial licence covering your website, social media, marketing materials, internal communications, grant applications and annual reports. If you need extended usage for a national advertising campaign, let me know upfront and I will quote it separately.
