Event Photography FAQ's

I photograph commercial and corporate events including conferences, seminars, exhibitions and trade shows, awards nights and galas, charity and fundraising events, speaker/civic/public events, and networking events and launches.

I also cover store openings, new venue launches, product launches, and brand activations, anywhere you need professional images for PR, sponsors, social and future promotion.

My coverage is designed to give you a complete marketing library, not just “a few nice shots”. Depending on your brief, that typically includes:

  • Key moments (speakers, ribbon cutting, announcements, awards, presentations)
  • Networking and candid interactions (natural, brand-safe images)
  • Branding and sponsor visibility (boards, signage, stands, step-and-repeat)
  • Details (venue, table settings, products, programmes, staging)
  • Optional group photos (speakers, teams, VIPs, award winners)

Yes. I offer a Fast Editorial Edit for time-sensitive use. You’ll receive 10 images, selected by me for PR impact, edited in an editorial style for speed, and delivered same-day (where possible) or early the next morning (agreed in advance). This is ideal for press releases, sponsor updates, social posts and internal comms.

Before the event we’ll do a quick brief (video/phone is fine) to confirm:

  • Event schedule / running order
  • Priority moments (speakers, awards, VIPs, sponsor obligations)
  • Branding priorities (logos, signage, key partners, exhibitors)
  • Any restrictions (security, photography rules, sensitive guests)
  • Delivery timing (fast edit requirements + full gallery timeline)

This is what keeps the coverage calm and “no surprises” on the day.

You’ll receive all usable images, professionally edited for consistency (colour, exposure and crop) and delivered via a private online gallery. I remove duplicates, blinks and unflattering frames,  you won’t receive unfinished test shots or RAW files. I only deliver images I’m happy to have my name attached to, so everything you receive is ready to use for marketing, PR and internal communications.

It depends on the length and scale of the event (and how many “moments” are happening), but you will receive all usable images from the coverage. If you have a specific deliverable in mind (e.g., “we need 30 sponsor images, 20 speaker images, 40 networking images”), tell me and I’ll plan the coverage accordingly.

Absolutely. Sponsor visibility is often one of the most important outcomes of event photography. I’ll actively cover:

  • Sponsor boards and signage
  • Branded stage moments
  • Exhibitor stands and visitor engagement
  • Partner interactions and “proof of presence” images
If you have a sponsor checklist, send it over and I’ll build it into the shoot plan.

Yes. I’ll capture natural candid moments throughout the event, and I can also run:

  • Speaker and organiser group shots
  • Award winner photos
  • VIP photos / key stakeholders
I keep these efficient and well-managed so they don’t disrupt the flow of the event.

Most events involve challenging lighting , dark rooms, mixed colour temperatures, bright screens and spotlights. I’m experienced shooting in these environments and will deliver consistent, clean results. If flash isn’t allowed during talks, I’ll work discreetly and adjust approach accordingly.

Yes,  I’m used to working to agency briefs and brand guidelines. If you have:

  • required shots, sponsor deliverables, or a content plan
  • brand rules (colours/tones, “must include” moments)
  • a deadline for announcements/press, I’ll align coverage and delivery to match what your team needs.

Yes. Multi-day coverage can include:

  • a pre-event planning call + daily priority schedule
  • Fast Editorial Edit per day (agreed timing)
  • a final organised gallery delivered consistently across the full event
If you’re running multiple venues or tracks, tell me and I’ll advise the best approach.

I’m based near Peterborough and regularly cover Cambridge, London and events UK-wide. Travel is quoted transparently based on location and schedule.
