I specialise in storytelling commercial photography, my goal is raw, authentic, capturing the story behind you , your team, your organisation or your event. My services include:
I don’t currently photograph weddings or offer passport photographs.
Honestly everyone, everyone has a story to tell and I want to be that photographer that captures it, but as some examples of the the clients ive worked with they include
I believe that a great photograph is 10% equipment and 90% connection. While there are many talented photographers out there, my clients choose me to capture there story for three specific reasons: :
The “Nerves-to-Natural” Process: Most people feel awkward in front of a lens, I get it, I do, But I’m neurodivergent, and my signature approach is designed to break the “camera wall” immediately. I don’t just “take your picture”; I facilitate an experience where you feel comfortable enough to let your genuine personality show. Its about giving you time, not herding you like cattle.
Story-Driven Branding: The truth is, some photos have to be staged, I know that, however, I don’t do “cookie-cutter.” Whether I am working with a local charity or a corporate executive, my aim is to always look for the narrative. I focus on capturing the impact of your work and the emotion of your milestones, rather than just a static image. Swinging back to the neurodivergent superpower, what makes it unique I do see stuff other photographers miss.
Community Connection: I am deeply invested in the Peterborough community. My work with local charities and organizations means I understand the heart of this area. When you hire me, you’re working with a partner who cares as much about the local impact as you do.
Versatility Without Compromise: Many photographers stick to one lane. Because of my diverse experience, ranging from the high-stakes environment of corporate galas to the delicate patience required to capture those quiet moments, I bring a unique perspective to every shoot. I apply the precision of commercial work to my portraits and the warmth of my events and galas
How do I book you?
You can get in touch via my Contact page, email me at [email protected] or phone/WhatsApp on 07472876265.
If I’m available, we’ll have a short call or email exchange so I can understand:
From there, I’ll provide a tailored quote.
The more detail, the better. It helps if you can share:
If you don’t have all the answers yet, that’s fine, I’ll guide you through it.
Each photoshoot is unique, and requires different styles, setups and equipment so I quote based on what your requirments are. as a general rule each photoshoot get the following as part of its pricing.
Yes. Payment terms vary depending on whether we have worked together before.
New clients:
To secure your date, full payment is required in advance. 50% of this is non-refundable should you cancel. This protects both parties and ensures your booking is fully confirmed.
Existing clients:
A 50% deposit (booking fee) is required to secure your date. This is non-refundable should you cancel. The remaining 50% is due the day before the photoshoot.
Organisations with specific payment terms:
I can work with pro forma invoices and purchase orders, but this arrangement must be agreed in advance and the pro forma or PO must be received before your date is confirmed in the diary.
All payments are made by bank transfer. A professional invoice will always be issued before payment is due, clearly showing the amount, payment deadline, and bank details.
Please note that as of April 2026, Nate Lansdell Photography is not VAT registered. No VAT will be added to your invoice.
Yes, retainer packages are available for clients who need regular photography on an ongoing basis. A retainer gives you a set number of hours each month across any of my services, with priority scheduling and a reduced effective hourly rate compared to booking individual sessions.
Retainer payments are collected automatically via GoCardless on the 25th of each month, or the closest working day if that falls on a weekend or bank holiday. A retainer agreement will be issued and must be signed before the first session takes place.
If you are interested in discussing a retainer arrangement, please get in touch and we can put together a package that fits your requirements.
For large events and key dates, booking early is strongly recommended, especially in busy seasons. Most corporate events, awards evenings and multi-day conferences are booked four to eight weeks in advance.
For smaller sessions, individual headshots, personal branding, product shoots, there is often more flexibility and I can sometimes accommodate short-notice bookings within a few days. It is always worth asking.
Need someone urgently?
Where my diary allows, I can accommodate same-day or next-day bookings, including shoot and edit delivered the same day. This is ideal for product launches, emergency content needs, or situations where your usual photographer has let you down.
Same-day and emergency bookings are subject to a 50% surcharge on the standard session rate. Bank holiday and weekend emergency bookings are subject to a 75% surcharge.
All emergency bookings are confirmed subject to availability and require full payment at the time of booking.
I’m based in Peterborough and regularly work across:
Travel is charged at the current HMRC-approved mileage rate or standard public transport fares, calculated on a round trip from my base. For longer journeys or early/late finishes, an overnight stay may be required and will be included in your quote.
I’m primarily an on-location photographer, which means I come to you, your workplace, venue, or a chosen location.
However, when a more controlled environment is needed, I can rent space at Allia Future Business Centre in Peterborough for headshots, portraits or small shoots. Hire of this space is simply added into your quote where relevant.
Every Photoshoot Is Planned, I have two amazing guides I give out to all my clients, this helps them prepare for the photoshoot, and tells them what to expect from the photoshoot. Our planning can be done over the phone, via video conference or face to face. (I do love a coffee).
Typically:
Oh absolutely, I actually have two signature guides that I email out to you, these not only go through what to expect from your photoshoot, great to help those nervous about stepping in front of the camera, but the other guides you on what to wear, and how to prepare.
But do remember to always ask, I am here to make this experience amazing for you.
Oh absolutely, some of my most shared photos are of groups and teams, for an organisation, a team is like family, connected and working as one, so capturing that is important.
My political work and local work has also featured some prominent figures in team shots, so yes the more the merrier.
Yes. While my style is natural and documentary, I’m very comfortable:
We’ll plan these into the schedule so they’re efficient and don’t dominate your event.
I use a mix of both professional Canon and professional Sony camera bodies and lenses chosen for:
This means that in many situations, I can work without intrusive flash, keeping the environment natural and comfortable. I also bring backup equipment so we’re covered if anything fails.
For my headshots, I use a mix of Godox and Elichrom lights, my style is a clam shell style of photography, typically on a pure white backdrop, but the colours can be adjusted to match your brand.
How long does it take to receive the final photos?
For most projects, the standard turnaround is 5 to 7 working days. Property is within 48 hours, or quicker depending on the complexity of the photoshoot.
For events, I also provide:
Up to 10 carefully selected images on the same day for urgent editorial, press or social media use.
These are editorial edits designed for speed and usefulness.
They do not represent the full, final treatment your full gallery will receive.
If you have specific deadlines (for example, a press release or launch date), tell me when you book and I’ll factor that into our plan.
The number of images delivered depends on the scope and nature of your project, the time on site, the variety of scenes covered, and what the images are being used for.
Every project is different, and the deliverables are agreed as part of your bespoke quote before we begin.
If you need a larger set of images than initially discussed, just let me know and I will put together an updated quote to cover the additional work.
I use Pixiset for my client galleries, this means I can create a bespoke URL for the photoshoot thats easily shareable.
Using Pixiset means you can view the photos in a slider style and allow you to relive the amazing moments.
From the gallery you can then download your photos, you will be given two options and I encourage you to use both, with every photoshoot you will receive
Pixiset also has a secure shop function, depending on the number of photos in your package, or if you wish to buy physical photos, you can do so through the gallery shop, payment is secure through Stripe.
If required, I can provide specific sizes or aspect ratios for banners, profile photos or ad placements.
Files can also be supplied on a USB drive for an additional fee.
Yes, but with a natural, honest approach.
I edit all selected images for:
For portraits and headshots I offer light retouching, for example:
I do not offer:
For bulk commercial headshots, I ensure the background is consistent across the set so your team looks cohesive on your website and materials.
No. RAW and unedited files are not included in any project. The editing and selection process is a fundamental part of what you are commissioning, it is where the images are colour graded, retouched, and curated into a cohesive set that represents your brand at its best. Releasing unedited files would be like a graphic designer handing over rough sketches instead of the finished artwork.
If you have specific concerns about editing style or want to see examples of my finished work before booking, I am happy to share relevant portfolio samples.
As the photographer, I retain the copyright to all images created during your project. This is standard practice under UK copyright law and is consistent across the industry.
What you receive is a commercial licence that gives you broad rights to use the images for your business. This covers your website, social media channels, email marketing, printed materials such as brochures and leaflets, PR and press use, recruitment and internal communications, and general brand and marketing activity. For most businesses, this covers everything you will ever need.
Where images are used on social media, in press features, or in editorial contexts, a credit is appreciated where practical. For example: Photo: Nate Lansdell Photography. This is not a contractual requirement but is always gratefully received.
Large-scale advertising and broadcast use
If you wish to use images in television commercials, large-scale paid advertising campaigns, billboard advertising, or any context where the images are being used as a primary commercial asset rather than supporting marketing material, this falls outside the standard licence included with your project. In these cases we will discuss an extended licence and agree appropriate terms before use. This is not unusual and I am happy to accommodate these requirements where needed.
Sub-licensing and third party use
If you wish to share the images with partner organisations, agencies, or suppliers for use in their own marketing, this also requires a conversation before use. In many cases this can be accommodated simply and without significant additional cost.
If you are unsure whether your intended use falls within your licence, just ask. I would always rather have that conversation upfront than deal with a misunderstanding later.
Are you insured?
Yes. I hold appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance. As of 2026 my current insurance provider is AXA Insurance. Proof of cover can be provided if your venue or organisation requires it.
Your images are handled carefully and securely:
All cameras are duel SD, I write both raw and jpeg to both.
After the shoot, images are copied and backed up to multiple drives.
Editing is done from backed-up copies, not the original cards. Cards are not formated till the photos are uploaded to the gallery.
Final images are archived for a period of time after delivery, so I can usually resupply files if needed.
This is extremely rare, but I have a contingency plan:
I will make every reasonable effort to arrange a trusted replacement photographer from my professional network.
If no suitable replacement can be found, any fees paid for services not delivered will be refunded in line with my Terms & Conditions.
Life happens, and I aim to be fair and transparent with all clients.
New clients
As full payment is required at the time of booking, the non-refundable portion is 50% of the total project fee. If you cancel, this amount is retained to cover planning, administration, and any diary time held on your behalf. The remaining 50% will be refunded provided you cancel with reasonable notice.
Existing clients
The 50% booking fee paid to secure your date is non-refundable if you cancel. If you have already paid the remaining balance ahead of the shoot, this will be refunded provided you cancel with reasonable notice.
Rescheduling
If you need to move your date, I will do my best to accommodate you subject to diary availability. Rescheduling requests made with reasonable notice will not incur additional charges in most circumstances. Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the shoot are treated as a late cancellation.
Late cancellations
For cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled shoot, or where significant changes are requested very close to the date, the full project fee may be retained. This applies particularly to large events, multi-day shoots, or projects where I have turned away other work to hold your date.
Retainer clients
Retainer agreements have their own cancellation terms set out in the retainer contract. Typically a minimum notice period of 30 days applies after the initial contract term has been fulfilled.
Full details are set out in my Terms and Conditions, which you will receive with your invoice and contract before your project begins.
Not at the moment:
I do not currently offer drone photography.
I don’t offer video yet, but I am considering adding this in the future; if you need video covered now, I can sometimes recommend trusted collaborators.
Passport photos is not something I can offer, this time.
Yes. I regularly collaborate with:
I’m happy to work from a detailed brief, or help you build one and work to your budget.
If there’s anything I haven’t covered, please just ask. It’s important to me that you feel completely comfortable and informed before you book, no jargon, no silly questions, just clear answers.
